Stem Stitch and Stacked Stem Stitch
1. Needle up through your fabric.
Tip: Keep your thread above or to the right of the needle. 2. Take a stitch. 3. Needle comes up in front of the first thread hole. 4. Repeat steps 1 - 3. 5. To end: Needle down above and to the righ of last thread. Tip: To taper the end of your the end of a row of Stem stitches enter the fabric a half stitch length away from your last stitch.
Stacked Stem Stitch
A row of Stem Stitches sewn close to each other. This technique is usually used as a filler.
