About 4 years ago I wrote a translation of the Brazilian embroidery terminology in an old pattern booklet that a friend shared with me. This translation includes the names of the stitches, colors and the equivalent chart of the threads made by the now defunct company, Varicor, and the threads made today in the States.
If nothing else you may find this interesting. And you never know if you, too, will come across an old booklet yourself. If so, it may come in handy. Enjoy!
