Today is the first day that feels like winter - the air is cold and crisp, and the sky is a cloudless icy blue. Some trees are bare and others are shedding their leaves with the help of the wind pushing its way through the branches.
I just took this picture with the leaves whirling on the ground all around me. This would be a perfect day for a walk through small cyclones of of what was once summer.
When I took writing classes a common technique to relax before getting to the real work was to write whatever came to mind. Of course for many, for example those like me, it was a great stall tactic and fun distraction.
By cobbling two aps and 1 program I've been able to get back to the website. The cost of the annoyance of having to go back and forth between the three has been a loss of momentum. Instead yesterday I made a blackberry cobbler and today I long to make a cinnamon cake.
And another great distraction: the kitchen floor - I should mop the kitchen floor!
When you are more inclined to clean the house than work on your webpage that's when it is pretty clear that things are slightly askew. However, a cinnamon cake is always on the top of my list of better things to do. So now I will check the cupboard to see if there is brown sugar.
